Cervical Cancer Can Be Prevented
Infection with high-risk HPV (human papillomavirus) is the cause of almost all cervical cancers. Cervical cancer can be effectively prevented by treating precancerous cervical changes caused by HPV. Vaccines are also available to prevent HPV infection.
